FreshBajaar connects families directly with local farmers. Order what's in stock today, or reserve produce that's still growing — the farmer knows exactly how much is wanted before harvest, and you get it at the farmer's price.
Thingslab designed, built and runs FreshBajaar end to end — the storefront at freshbajaar.in, the backend that handles orders, bookings and payments, and the account, order and booking messages customers receive. Customer support for FreshBajaar is provided by Thingslab at the same email and phone number listed on thingslab.io.

Between the field and your kitchen, produce passes through traders, transporters and cold stores. Each step adds cost and days. The farmer takes the price risk on harvest day, and the family pays more for vegetables that are less fresh.
A farmer only finds out what a crop will fetch after it's harvested — when it has to be sold fast, whatever the rate.
Every trader, transporter and storage stop takes a cut, so the farmer earns less and the buyer pays more.
Produce that sits waiting for a buyer loses shelf life. Knowing the buyer before harvest means it can go almost straight to the home.
Customers book produce ahead, farmers grow with a confident return, and the harvest moves to homes with as little waiting in between as possible.
Pick produce that's still growing and reserve a quantity. No payment, no cart, and free cancellation.
Each booking counts against what the farmers said they'll harvest, so they know how much is wanted — and nobody can book more than exists.
When the crop is ready, the listing is switched to orderable and every customer who booked it is told by email or SMS that they can now order.
The customer checks out online, the order is confirmed, and it ships to their pin code — with a confirmation by email or SMS.
So customers always know what they can do with it — and stock that can be bought today is never mixed up with stock that is still in the field.
FreshBajaar has three sides: a storefront for families, a seller panel for farmers, and an operations panel Thingslab uses to review listings, confirm orders and pay farmers.
Reserve vegetables and fruits before harvest against an expected date. Nothing is charged on booking, and you can cancel free.
Produce that's ready now goes straight into the cart, with live stock counts and "low stock" warnings.
When something you booked is harvested, you're told by email — or by SMS if you have no email on file — that it can now be ordered. Your bookings page shows each one as booked or ready.
Enter your pin code at checkout to see the real courier rate for your area. The same amount is recalculated on our server when you pay, so the price can't change on you.
Orders over the free-shipping threshold ship free. If a courier rate can't be fetched, a fixed fallback charge is used so checkout never fails.
Pay by UPI, cards, net banking or wallets through Razorpay. Every payment is verified on our server before the order is accepted.
Stock is checked before payment starts, and reserved with guarded updates once you pay — two people can't both buy the last kilo.
Sign in with your 10-digit mobile number and a one-time password. No password to remember.
Follow each order from placed to confirmed, shipped and delivered. Confirmation comes as an itemised email that doubles as your invoice, or by SMS if you have no email on file.
Find produce by name, category, type, price range or city, and sort by price, name or stock.
Rate and review what you bought — one review per buyer per product, so ratings can't be stuffed.
Pick your city once from the header and the store shows produce from sellers near you. Your choice is remembered on your device.
Sign up with a mobile number and choose the farmer / seller role. No paperwork to start.
Upload a government ID (JPG or PNG) for KYC review, so buyers can trust every seller on the platform.
Name, category, type, price per unit, total stock, photos, warehouse location and an optional badge like Organic or Fresh.
Set the precise date produce will be available — not just "this month" — because fresh produce has a short shelf life.
Bookings show how much customers want before the crop is cut, so you grow and pick with a confident return.
Small farmers growing the same crop are pooled into one listing, so a big order can be filled by several of them together.
Choose Flexible, Moderate or Strict for each product — harvested-to-order produce can be protected from late cancellations.
See exactly which of your products were ordered, even when one customer's order is split across several farmers.
Every paid line item creates a payout record for the farmer who supplied it, so what each farmer is owed is always clear.
New seller products wait for verification before customers see them. Each one is published, set to bookable, or kept hidden.
Moving a bookable product to available notifies every customer who booked it, and shows who has been told.
Paid orders arrive in one queue with product and farmer details. Confirming one notifies the customer by email receipt, falling back to SMS.
The shop owner is emailed the moment a payment is captured, so no order waits unnoticed.
Pickup address and pin code, free-shipping threshold and fallback delivery charge — all set from the panel, no code changes.
A payouts view lists what is owed to every farmer per order line, ready to settle.
Set a smallest order per product so flat transport and cold-storage costs never outweigh a tiny order.
Buyers, sellers and admins each see only their own data, enforced on the server for every request.
Runs on AWS in Mumbai (ap-south-1). If a courier or email service has a bad moment, checkout and notifications fall back instead of failing.
A family farm with 10 quintals of bananas can't fill a large order alone. On FreshBajaar, every farmer's quantity of the same product is a lot, and lots are pooled into a single listing. Customers see one product with the combined stock.
An order for 15 qtl takes 10 from Farmer A (older lot) and 5 from Farmer B — both get paid for their share.
FreshBajaar lets farmers sell vegetables and fruits directly to households. Advance bookings tell them what to expect before harvest; pooling lets the smallest grower take part in big orders; payouts are tracked line by line.
FreshBajaar only messages people who have signed up with their mobile number, and only about their own account, orders and bookings. All messages are sent by THINGSLAB INTERNET SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED on behalf of FreshBajaar.
A short code to verify your mobile number when you sign up or log in. It can be resent if it doesn't arrive.
Sent when your paid order is confirmed for dispatch, with your order reference. Customers with an email on file get an itemised email receipt instead.
Tells you that produce you booked in advance is now available to order, naming the product. Sent by SMS when there is no email on file.
FreshBajaar does not send promotional SMS. Questions about a message you received? Write to contact@thingslab.io.
FreshBajaar runs on the same in-house stack Thingslab uses for its other products.
